Based on the news we have been hearing from CNN it seems that all of Alaska is in love with Sarah Palin. It seems as if she is this sensation that has that entire state shouting for joy. At least that is what one is led to believe when they reported on the huge "welcome home" party for Sarah.

Negative campaign ads are something many of us hate but unfortunately we will not seem them go away anytime soon for one simple reason.  They work.  It is an unfortunate fact that a large percentage of voters respond to them.  However, there is one thing that we all do demand and that is they at least be based on truth.  Unfortunately we now have a presidential candidate who has taken the negative ads to a new low, he is now flat out lying.  Even Carl Rove, the man credited to helping Bush win, using less than desirable practices, has attacked McCain’s recent ads.  His exact words were

It is truly unfortunate that this campaign has been littered with irrational responses to innocuous statements.  Recently Obama referred to McCain-Palin's policies as “lip stick on a pig”.  However, now the Republican machine is trying to frame the remark as an attack on Palin's character.  The reason why, she has been quoted as saying the difference between a soccer mom and a pit bull is “lip stick”.  Putting aside, for a moment, that calling oneself a pit bull is more insulting than being called a pig*, the phrase is used quite often in US English s

I will fully admit that I could never support Sarah Palin, her policies are simply to far removed from what I believe this country is about.  Everything from believing that we are doing God's work in Iraq to her refusal to admit that abstinence only programs do not work.  However, I must say, I am deeply disappointed with her conduct.  For eight years we have tolerated the lies of both Bush and Cheney and their refusal to own up to them even after having been caught.  Consider their claim that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction and had connections with terrorist organizations.  Ev
