Just In: McCain Embrases the Soundness of Inflating Your Tires

It is difficult to keep an up-to-date blog when McCain shifts around so much. Apparently McCain has gone on record and stated that inflating our tires is a good idea.  However he is still mocking Obama for saying the same.  I am not sure if this guy [McCain] is sure of what he is doing!

Republicans Attacking Global Poverty Act

Yesterday I received an email from the Republican National Committee - it appears as if the RNC has purchased multiple emailing lists and my name happened to be on it.  I know this because I create e-mails every time I sign-up for an online offer, subscription, or even place a classified ad with the local paper.  It is a way for me to "track" who sells my name as well as eventually blocking all traffic from that e-mail address.  My first instinct was to just delete the email but I realized that I could use these emails as a method to know first hand what the RNC and McCain-Bush

Republicans Launch Tire Pressure Gauge Campaign

It seems that the Republicans are only capable of launching smear attacks and espousing empty rhetoric.  Recently Obama pointed out that we could save more oil by inflating our tires and having our vehicles tuned up than we could by opening up, currently protected areas, to oil drilling.  They, the Republicans, are accusing Obama of being out of touch and not willing to do what it takes to bring down oil prices.  Here are some facts regarding both the availability of oil in these protected areas and statistics pertaining to under inflated tires and poor vehicle maintenance.

Sold to Big Oil

Here is a Letter to the Editor that appeared in The Rochester Democrat. You can be sure that Minnesota was one of the states where McCain's headquarters had the sign "Sold to Big Oil."

Friends,

Behavior of an Addict

In President Bush's 2006 State of the Union Address he referred to our use of oil as an "addiction". Current calls to drill in the Artic and offshore along with responses to Al Gore's plan is nothing but the response of an addict and its enablers.

Education funding: The downhill slide continues

I pity our children and the world we are leaving them. We are leaving them a world where they will have a huge debt and where energy prices will continue to sky rocket. Yet at the same time we won't even give them the tools to cope. Instead we will finance our selfishness by cheating their educational opportunities.

Congressman still faces airport screening problem

One must ask themselves, how can our country be protected from terrorists when the lists used to screen for them have so many errors? There is no excuse why innocent people are harassed just because there is someone, on the list, with a name similar to theirs. Furthermore, if time is spent questioning innocent travelers that is time and resources that could have been spent protecting us from the real terrorists!
